VerdErg presented at the 2014 BHA Annual conference in Glasgow, Scotland. Held at the Thistle Hotel, the 13th annual conference was attended by almost 200 delegates across the industry, consultancy, regulatory and stakeholder sector. Attendees benefitted from the industry updates and best practice dissemination by the presenters across a range of topics including law and policy, financing and investments, environmental conservation, research and development, and working with regulators and communities.
As part of the Hydro Developments, Training and Research session, VerdErg presented the recent R&D progress of the Coaxial Hydrodynamic Testing Programme and CFD modelling study which has concluded the Coaxial VETT ready for commercial launch. In addition, VETT’s environmental attributes were presented and its integration into micro-hydro and tidal sites were explained. Attendees were also given an insight into future projects and VETT’s market potential for efficient, low-cost hydropower.
