VerdErg Renewable Energy returned to Glasgow by invitation to take part in the Innovation Showcase, an event hosted by Innovate UK and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) presenting a selection of energy projects funded through their various innovation programmes. This was run in parallel to the main All Energy conference, a renowned event in the cleantech industry calendar.
From IET.tv
VerdErg presented the Energy Catalyst Early Stage funded project Exploration of bi-directional VETT configuration during the morning Collaboration session. It was an excellent opportunity to disseminate the research, the project results and to raise the profile of VETT as an alternative tidal technology. The session was followed by a lunch and networking session which facilitated engagement with potential investors, collaborators and pilot customers in the renewable energy space. VerdErg was also able to showcase the new 3D printed VETT model at the Innovate UK Innovation Hub stand in the exhibition hall. The model raised much interest with the wider All Energy audience and proved to be a useful display tool to help explain the basic principles of the technology.
More information on our Energy Catalyst project and other Innovate UK and DECC funded projects are presented in the All Energy 2016 Innovation Showcase Project Directory.
