VerdErg presents at BHA Hydro Network 2017

The focus areas of this year’s BHA Hydro Forum were latest hydropower innovations, overcoming market challenges and community energy initiatives. Attendees benefitted from the multi-disciplinary conference programme, networking opportunities and a technical exhibition which showcased the capabilities and expertise of the UK hydropower industry.

Lars Boerner, Operations Director for VerdErg, was a speaker presenting the latest VETT technological developments and opportunities for the low-head hydro sector. The cost saving potential compared to conventional technologies achieved through utilising more cost efficient turbines with VETT as well as compact civil designs was presented which is particularly pertinent in light of the subsidy reductions and the stalling of new hydro projects.
