VerdErg was pleased to take part in Tolworth Girls’ School Women in Science Day. This event enabled students to meet women role models who have pursued careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), understand real world applications of STEM subjects and learn what job opportunities are available in the STEM sector.
Jennifer Gomez Molina, VerdErg’s Environmental Scientist, attended the day and took the opportunity to show the students how life in the renewable energy industry is varied. With a selection of props ranging from Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), data acquisition and analysis tools and marketing documentation, students were able to understand and visualise how knowledge in science and engineering is applied in the cleantech industry.
This education outreach opportunity enabled VerdErg to contribute back to the local community and support the various initiatives to motivate and inspire young people in STEM and promote equality and diversity within the sector.
