The Clean and Cool Mission 2012 is a competition-led trade mission set up to identify 16 of the UK's most dynamic cleantech companies ready to do business in the US and overseas.
The Mission provides winning companies with access to connections and opportunities as well as US West Coast investment.
76 applications were sent in by the January 30 deadline and 16 businesses selected.
Verderg's renewable energy technology, SMEC, competitively won one of the available 16 places that were made and travelled to San Francisco for the week long Mission.
Several high-profile discussions are continuing with potential investors/collaborators in SMEC technology. The intensive programme of meetings and presentations made in San Francisco has generated a huge volume of publicity for VerdErg.
