VerdErg’s Spectral Marine Energy Converter (“SMEC”) took another step forwards today with the award of a contract to confirm SMEC’s suitability for installation across the Severn Estuary.

VerdErg’s DMaC System is 1,000 Connections Old

On 18th November 2007, a gas line to BP’s Northwest Area Development (NWAD) drilling center was connected to a flexible riser connecting the sea floor infrastructure through 350 meters of cold, stormy, Atlantic Ocean to the Schiehallion FPSO one of the largest vessels of its type. Connection M132- F134 was completed, pressure tested, surveyed, long term visual verification instrumentation activated and the sea bed cleared in a little over twelve hours.
