VerdErg's vision is for every community, no matter how remote, to have access to clean, affordable energy which doesn't harm the environment. We recognise that global attempts to lower carbon emissions go in vain if solutions do not also work in conjunction with nature.

MEET THE TEAM
Robert Kettle
Group Chief Engineer
Robert has been with VerdErg since 2010. He has a MSc in Civil and Maritime Engineering from the University of Liverpool and is a Chartered Engineer and a member of IMechE. He leads the design and engineering of all technology aspects of VETT.
Karla Quintao
Senior Engineer & Market Lead
South America
Karla joined VerdErg in February 2018. She has a MSc in Mechanical Engineering with a particular focus on fluid mechanics and heat transfer. Karla previously worked in the US where she helped to design and operate a bio-diesel plant and has also worked as a Test Engineer at the British Standards Institution.
Olivia Akkerman
Marketing & Operations Manager
The newest member of the VerdErg Team, Olivia joined in July 2020. Prior to this she was Senior Marketing Advisor to a multinational EPC contractor serving the oil and gas, offshore wind and carbon capture industries. Olivia has an MBA from Aberdeen University, a MA from University of London and BA from University of Leeds.
Lars Boerner
Managing Director
Lars Joined VerdErg in 2014 taking over the day to day management and business development of VerdErg. He previously worked on large infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Europe and North America.
Peter Roberts
Group Chairman
Peter is the inventor of VETT and founder and owner of VerdErg. He has over thirty-five years’ experience in the Offshore Industry, initially in Engineering, deepwater project development for example in the north sea, and subsequently in Corporate Management and business ownership.
Renato Martins
Financial & Administration Director
Renato has 20 years of experience in commercial/contracts, finance and human resources management in the offshore Oil & Gas industries, at all levels up to and including Finance and Administration Director.
